Mmm. The joy and peace in this is beautiful.
When you’re in need of remembering who is behind you in all that you do, read this.
In times that you question your ability to follow through and “succeed”, remember this.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful…. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me…. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing…. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:1-2, 4-5, 8
The application and truth from this verse is ripe in my life. The power this truth brings when we understand it and live it, is so sweet. The Lord calls us to come and take a bite from it, and be refreshed.
Apart from Him, we can do nothing. Our efforts on our own are in vain. But when we remain in the Lord, He remains in us and our lives produce good fruit that spills over and out.
May you seek the Lord, who desires to remain in you, and live lives that produce good, sweet fruit.
