Back on Track

I’m anxiously awaiting a call from my family any day now telling me that sweet baby Carmen has made it clear she is on her way out of her warm, familiar home, and into the world.

What fun it will be to have a cute little niece to love and spoil, and we’re just days away from holding this little cuddle bug! You better believe I will have pictures to share once she comes.

(My sister at 39 weeks)
This is week 3 of my workout switch up and so far all has gone well. I have welcomed the change in routine and have definitely been challenged by the Insanity videos.
Can we say killer?
I’ve never sweat as much as I have over the past 3 weeks.
Maybe I shouldn’t admit that?
I’ve been trying to integrate yoga videos on my off days and move towards getting a workout in at least 5 days of the week. That can be very challenging to do when you work full time, and have busy weekends, battle hurricanes and earthquakes, and have other commitments in the evening…and that’s even without kids.
But let’s face it; sometimes life just happens and we get thrown off our schedule a bit.

What’s important is that we get back on track when we can, right?

Speaking of getting on the right track… This morning in my Beth Moore Bible study, I was reading about true worship and what an incredible honor it is that we are given the opportunity to offer up praise to God.
I was challenged to think about my attitude and heart towards the holiness of God and whether I truly approach his throne with an understanding of how great and mighty he is.

I think that if I did truly understand this, my worship of him would not cease, and it would come from a sincere heart focused on it’s true purpose and mission.

“Spiritual worship comes from our very core and is fueled by an awesome reverence and desire for God. Spiritual worship is focusing all we are on all he is, both personally and universally. It is the incomparable expression of both awe and affection for God. And it is one of the highest privileges we can experience on this earth.”

A high privilege we can experience on earth.

Why do I not take full advantage of this?

Forgive me Lord for how quickly I forget what it’s like to sit in your presence and lift up a heart of true, sincere worship. You deserve nothing less.

To seek God and to worship him, is to know him.

I encourage you friends, to seek God in all you do. Seek to know him intimately.

John 8:31-32 says “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Because we are forgetful, sinful humans, we must constantly get our hearts and minds back on track and in a place of true worship. We must actively seek to walk in truth; truth that sets us free.

Thank the Lord for continuous grace!
