A Full Tank

Even when life is busy and your schedule full of “to do’s”,

When you’re miles away and focused on new adventures,

When days go by so fast that weeks turn into months,

Nothing beats pausing to spend time with those who know you best.

Sometimes all your heart needs is a good laugh, a good cry, and a cup of coffee to sip on while spending hours catching up with those who “just get you.”

It’s effortless, it’s easy, it’s safe.

It’s the way friendships should be.

I am thankful for these girls who came into my life 5 years ago. They have built me up, encouraged me, loved me when I’m less than pleasant, walked with me through some of my darkest hours, stood by my side as I said “I do”, and modeled Christ-like love.

No matter how many miles lie between us, or how many weekends pass that we aren’t together, we will always be there for each other. We will always be able to pick up where we left off; take one look at each other and know what each is thinking.

This past weekend I had the chance to be reunited with my best friends and it felt so good.

My “love tank” is full again, and my house escaped the flood waters. God is good.

What did you do this past weekend?
